Here are some positive stories from around the town over the past few days.
🍻 Brilliant news for live music fans. Porters Ale House on Horsemarket Street is being brought back to life under new owner Mark Moran in a project called Porters Resurrection. There are big plans including a brand new 150 capacity live music venue called The Office on the first floor, which will further cement Porters reputation as Warrington's longest running live music venue. (Warrington Worldwide)
🤸 Good news for families. Buzz Trampoline Park has submitted plans to take over the unit at Time Square where Gravity closed last month. The Swansea based business has 10 years of trading behind it and if approved, they aim to have the trampoline park open within four to six weeks. (Warrington Guardian)
💷 Brilliant news for north Warrington. Hulme in Orford has been confirmed as a Pride in Place neighbourhood, securing £20 million of funding over the next 10 years to support long-term, community-led regeneration. The plans will be shaped by local residents, businesses and community groups, with applications now open for an independent chair to lead the project. (Warrington Guardian)

We asked people on social media to name a Warrington place thats gone but never forgotten, and almost 300 of you replied on Facebook with some interesting answers.
😆 Another meme, this time having a bit of fun about how many times some of us cross the Mersey Gateway toll bridge each year 🤣
Warrington Food and Drink Festival 🍔 🍺
Don’t forget, it's the Warrington Food and Drink Festival this weekend at Bank Park (where the Golden Gates are). It was a good event last year, and the sun was shining. Let’s hope the weather holds out this year.
It's FREE! Who doesn’t love FREE? 😀

🏃 A quick heads up for any Warrington parkrun regulars. There will be no parkrun on Saturday 16th or 23rd May due to the Neighbourhood Weekender taking over Victoria Park.
🚗 Warrington's air is officially cleaner. Nitrogen dioxide levels have dropped steadily over the last ten years and are now within national limits across both of the borough's Air Quality Management Areas, helped along by more electric vehicles, cleaner engines, and better traffic flow.
🌱 The Lymm Plant Fair is on this Saturday 16th May from 10am to 12 noon at Lymm Village Hall on Pepper Street. Entry is free with plants, refreshments and expert advice on offer, plus Cheshire Wildlife Trust will be there with tips on wildlife friendly plants for your garden.
🏏 Glazebury Cricket Club are welcoming new players for the season. They have two open age teams playing in the Cheshire Cricket League on Saturday afternoons, and all skill levels and abilities are welcome whether you have played before or are completely new to the game.
🎭 Parr Hall has been named a Regional Finalist in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026 for Arts, Culture and Theatre. If you love what they do, give them a vote at cheshire.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards/vote before 1pm on 26th May!
🐮 Grange Farm in Lowton have got the cutest Highland cows in training, ready to meet visitors in June. Farm shop and restaurant on site for a proper family day out.
🚯 The Warrington Sunday Litter Team are out this Sunday 17th May, 9.45am to 11.45am, meeting at Bewsey St just before the rail bridge. Two routes planned, all equipment supplied, just turn up and give a couple of hours back to the town.
The Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Team are holding drop-in surgeries this Saturday 16th May at Penketh Library (10.30am to 11.30am) and Tim Parry Community Centre (1pm to 2pm).

Have you tried Patterson’s in Warrington Market? This was the first time we had tried it, and it was really good. Better than KFC, and the food came out really fast.
We went for the Plain Jane burger with seasoned fries. If you are after somewhere new, try over the weekend, definitely give them a go.

Poll - Are you using your food waste bins? 🤔
With the food waste bins being out for about 6 weeks now, we thought we would run a poll to see if you have been using yours? We think it’s a great thing for the town.
Are you using your food waste bins?
Warrington Wordle 🧠
It’s important to keep your brain ticking over, isn’t it? I recently received an email from a reader who started playing Wordle during lockdown and hasn’t missed a single day. They have a little WhatsApp group where they share their scores 😀 If you want to share your score, please reply to this email.

Thanks 👍
