Walton Gardens Artisan Market 🛍️

The Walton Gardens Artisan Market is back this Sunday, August 3rd. This wasn’t in our guide in Monday’s email. It’s always a popular event, so I thought it was worth a mention.
You can find out more on their Facebook page.

Hoi Tin Nostalgia and a New Bar 🎷

When checking out Facebook, we came across a picture that Parlour 88 Bar posted during the refurbishment of their bar.
Years before this was a bar (it was Hop Co, and is now becoming Parlour 88), it was probably the most famous Chinese restaurant in town.
The prices were great, it was family-run, and the food was really good. We had many meals here and always loved it.
It’s now being turned into Parlour 88, a new bar for the town.
We spoke to Tom, the general manager who told us “Parlour88 is going to be a very intimate setting, low lights, amazing jazz music, craft cocktails, taking a lot of inspiration from jazz and speakeasy bars. We also have a piano in which we will have a live pianist playing music on Fridays and Saturdays. We will be serving beers, wine, spirits and classic and signature cocktails.”
They are hoping to open in the 2nd week of August, but we will keep you posted when we hear anything. You can follow their Instagram here to look at how it’s coming along.

New Scoop Podcast Episode Out On Monday 🎤
The Scoop has been working on the 2nd episode of the Warrington Scoop podcast this week.
We spoke to Peter from Walton Gardens and learned more about the baby red squirrels that were born there (really interesting). We also talked to Tony Spruce, who’s running VPX (Victoria Park Experience), about what families can expect from the event. The episode is set to be a banger and will be in your inbox on Monday.

Baby Red Squirrels Born at Walton Gardens 🐿️

Image Credit: Walton Hall and Gardens
Something pretty special happened this week at Walton Hall and Gardens.
Three baby red squirrels (known as kittens), were spotted poking their heads out and having a nosey around their enclosure for the first time.
The little ones are only about four weeks old, but they’re already climbing, exploring, and making themselves at home.

Warrington Food and Drink 🍽️
💚 AcaiHeaven, which we mentioned a few weeks back, is opening in Stockton Heath this weekend.
🍔 The Eagle and Spaceman have created an afternoon tea with a difference. It includes mini bacon cheeseburgers, chicken sliders, corndogs, loaded fries, cake pops, scones, and a cake from their dessert menu. It looks amazing!
🍛 Ozmi Indian Restaurant is running a 5-course meal for £11.95 (dine in) as part of their 10-year anniversary. This is running from the 4th of August to the 16th of September.
