Good morning, Warrington. Mike here. This is The Warrington Scoop.
Hope you’re doing well. There’s a chance we could see some more snow on Sunday, so it might be worth keeping an eye on the forecast if you’re heading out. Thanks to everyone who sent over their snow pics after the last email (and on social). Next time it snows, we will share some of them.

January is a chance to slow things down and check back in with yourself after the rush of December. This session has been created as a calm, supportive space to pause, breathe, and gently reset before the year fully gets going.
The Healing Reset is about taking a little time just for you. There’s no pressure and no expectations. Just guided support to help you feel more settled, clearer, and ready to move into the new year with a steadier mindset.
If this sounds like something you could benefit from, you’re very welcome to get in touch for more details or to book a place.

Warrington Music Festival – Winter Showcase 🎸

Parr Hall | Saturday 17 January | From 12pm
Warrington Music Festival is back at Parr Hall with its Winter Showcase, bringing a full afternoon of live music to the town centre.
It’s a great chance to catch a mix of emerging and established acts in one place, all under one roof. Doors open at midday, so you can pop in for a few sets or make a full day of it.
Tickets start from £8 (plus booking fee), making it an easy and affordable way to support local music this January.

Warrington Food and Drink News 🍽️
It’s going to be a tough year for businesses, with the new business rates affecting them, and everyone generally spends less in January.
The White Hart has launched a new menu for the new year, and it looks really good.
Zeytin (Bridge Street) – To beat the January blues, Zeytin’s Mediterranean restaurant is offering 30 % off its full à la carte menu, Sunday–Friday, throughout January. The discount even covers the Sunday roast.
The Waterside – This pub has a Cheers to Zero promotion. Say the magic words, “cheers to zero, and they'll give you a refreshing (0%) beer on the house.
The Skymaster (Gemini/Omega) – Currently giving 40 % off main meals. To access the offer, diners must sign up to receive a voucher; the discount is valid Monday–Saturday until 31 January.
The Rams Head is offering a £13 lunch and a drink deal. Monday to Friday, 12pm - 5pm.

We Visit Dorado Lounge 🍔
When I compiled a list of the best restaurants in Warrington from the Scoop readers, I realised we hadn’t visited Dorado Lounge in quite a while, which is one of the best. So, my wife and I visited just after the new year because the menu suits us both, and there really is something for everyone.

Apologies for the blurry food picture, I think I was just too hungry…..
It’s always so consistent in there with great service, and of course, the food was great as well. My wife went for 3 tapas dishes (bao bun, potatas bravas, and spicy chicken), and I went for the smash burger.
If you are new in town, or have never been, it’s a place the Scoop readers love and is well worth a visit.
❓️ Question for you…… (as I know the readers love history). The building the Dorado Lounge is in was the post office before it became the Dorado Lounge… but what was it before that? I haven’t Googled it yet, but if you know, please reply and let me know.

Warrington Shout Outs 📣
