House of the Week 🏠

Sponsored by Declan James Estate Agents

This week's pick is a cracker. A six bedroom, three bathroom family home on Wellcroft Gardens in Lymm, on the market for £795,000. Spanning over 2,000 square feet, it's got a big family living room, a kitchen and dining area, a conservatory and a south-facing garden.

There's also a double garage and a driveway for plenty of parking. It's a short walk into Lymm village and close to both Lymm High School and local primaries. If you've been waiting for the right house in Lymm, this could be the one.

Yoga on the pitch at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this Sunday 🧘 🧘 🏉

To mark International Yoga Day and the Summer Solstice, the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation are hosting a free outdoor yoga session on the pitch at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday 21st June, starting at 7am.

Led by experienced instructor Hayley, the session will work through 108 Sun Salutations, a traditional practice that marks the longest day of the year. Don't let that number put you off though. You're welcome to go at your own pace, take breaks, or just soak up the atmosphere. Five salutations or 108, it doesn't matter.

Here are some positive stories from around the town over the past few days.

🏅 Gary Stott, one of the founders of Bewsey Community Shop, has been awarded an OBE in the King's Birthday Honours List for services to the circular economy and building communities. Gary helped create the UK's first social supermarket, with Community Shop Bewsey opening in 2023, and the organisation has since supported more than 83,000 families across 16 stores in England. 🎉 Warrington Youth Zone is hosting a free Big Summer Re-Launch on Saturday 11th July from 12pm to 6pm, with every activity room and facility open to explore. There'll be climbing walls, sports, music, cookery, dance, creative arts and sensory activities, plus soft play for babies. Entry to the Youth Zone will also be free throughout July and August. 🏆 Two Warrington women have been named finalists in the 2026 Enterprise Vision Awards, which celebrate women in business across the UK. Preeti Choudhary, founder of Pro-Business Consulting, is shortlisted in the Best Business category, while business mentor and author Helen Tudor is nominated for the Training and Coaching award. Can you guess where we are on this video? It drew a lot of comments, and I guess some people aren't fans of the bike lane.

🏉 To mark Warrington Wolves' 150th anniversary, a brand new theatre production is coming to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on 8th and 9th July.
