🏫 We put together this quick video all about the history of the town hall, as someone who's lived in town all their life. Even I didn't know all the basic facts about the town hall, so I decided to put this together.

☎ As we've had a lot of new followers on both the newsletter and socials, we re-posted this video about the phone box just outside where Mrs Smith used to be. It's quite a rare phone box, and we cover a little bit about the history of it

🛹 Humanity Skate store, located in Hatters Row, turned one this weekend. It's a great local shop run by a top lad. If you get a chance and you're in town, go and check them out.

👮 The Museum of Policing has several open days you might want to check out in August on the 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. You can experience a police cell, dress up in police uniforms, and learn all about what's happened in the police force over the years in Cheshire. It's something a bit different and has got a lot of history that I know you like.

😀 If you’re after something to do with the kids. Golden Square's summer fair, right in the middle where Nando's is, is now open for the summer holidays.

🚿 Oh My Wash has opened in the market on the mezzanine level. They sell Spanish cleaning products, offer professional cleaning services, and also offer wash and iron services.

It was a struggle to find as much on this week, maybe due to the summer holidays being in full flow now?

☕ Porter's Coffee Company is opening on Marsh House Lane in Padgate next Friday. It looks like it's going to be a great addition to the area. Please give them a follow on social media.

☕ Rhode Island Coffee is reopening on Wednesday, the 5th of August. It's been shut since mid-July while it's had a bit of a refurb.

🍗 Vandal currently has a competition on to win one of their epic roast dinners for four people. Here's the link if you want to get involved.

🥧 Curral's Bakery (probably my favourite pies) will be closing on the 25th of August and reopening on the 2nd of September for their holiday shutdown. Just something to bear in mind in case this is your favourite pie shop in town.

🍺 McCoy's Racing Lounge and Bar has had a new lick of paint. It's also been closed for a short period, but the good news is that it has now reopened.

🍕 We came across this post from the General Elliott pub in Croft, saying that every Thursday at 12:00 or 3:30 pm, you can decorate your own pizza. This is aimed at kids, and it's £10 per child.

🍺 Hickory's Smokehouse, which is opening just outside of Warrington, in Bold Heath, has posted to say that it will be having a bar area, so it will not just be a restaurant. This is still due to open in autumn, according to their social media.

🛍 And we thought you'd like to know that Farm Foods is opening in Birchwood Shopping Centre.
