A bit of a quiet week on the socials this week, but we did have a few of you asking when we would next be doing some more day in the life of a Warrington Pigeon videos, and the good news is, they are being worked on 🤣
🚘 We posted this funny meme earlier in the week. You love memes about the Riverside Retail Park and this one went down really well.
☀ We went through our phones and picked out some of the nicest clips of Warrington from July and put together this reel.

🐺 Big news for Wolves fans. Warrington and Wigan will make history on Saturday 24th April 2027 by playing the first ever Super League fixture in Ireland, at the newly redeveloped Laya Arena in Dublin.

🌻 Kenyon Hall Farm's Sunflower Trail is back and proving incredibly popular, with weekends already sold out. There's still availability on selected weekdays including evening slots until 6pm, but the sunflowers are looking their best right now so don't leave it too long.
🐴 Arplemere Care Home are welcoming Shetland Ponies to the home on Monday 10th August at 2pm. A lovely afternoon out if you have little ones who'd love to meet some friendly furry visitors.
🚗 Wharfspeed are hosting a Cars and Coffee event at Whare Industrial Estate this Sunday 9th August from 10am to 2pm. Free entry, with classics, supercars, modified, JDM, muscle cars, motorcycles and more all welcome. There's a coffee van on site and it's open to all makes and models.
🏐 Warrington GAA are looking to launch a new women's Gaelic Football team and are on the lookout for players. No experience needed at all, complete beginners are very welcome.
🎪 The Red Lion at Moore are hosting a Summer Fair this Saturday 8th August from 12pm to 5pm.

🏊 A brand new family-run swimming pool is coming to Higher Whitley. Swim Barn on Raddel Lane has been under construction since early 2025 and is now in the final stages, just waiting on Building Control approval before confirming an opening date. They'll offer lessons for babies, toddlers, children and adults (Warrington Guardian)
📚 Orford-born author Guy Lawson has a new thriller novel coming out on 18th August, and it's rooted firmly in Warrington. The Sleeping Beauties follows a retired civil servant with links to four murders, with the backstory drawing heavily on the town's industrial heritage including disused sections of the Mersey and old railway lines.
