They also cover day-to-day plumbing work such as leaks, heating issues, and repairs that need quick attention.

Lymm Dickensian Festival

Lymm Dickensian Day is a big festive event that takes over the village each December. It runs on Saturday, 13th December 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm.

You can expect food stalls, hot drinks, craft makers, live music, and plenty of Christmas atmosphere. The streets fill with people in period outfits. Kids can visit Santa’s grotto. The Santa Dash brings a crowd as runners charge through the village in full costume. There’s a free park and ride on a vintage bus. It’s a busy, lively day that brings the whole place together. Perfect for a winter trip out.

Each week I pick a Warrington home that stands out for one simple reason. It catches the eye. Here’s this week’s pick.

Hudson Close, Old Hall – £399,950

• Three-bed detached bungalow
• Quiet cul-de-sac in Old Hall
• Big conservatory with underfloor heating
• Updated kitchen and oak doors
• New roof in recent years
• Driveway and garage
• Well kept garden
• Woodland next to the plot so you get more privacy

Full details and photos are on Rightmove.

This Warrington Pub is 464 years Old - The Barley Mow

Instagram Reel

This week’s video takes you inside the Barley Mow, one of the oldest pubs in Warrington. It is 464 years old and still going strong.

I popped in for a pint and made a short walkaround for anyone who enjoys a bit of local history. You guys have been loving these trips into old Warrington, so I’ll keep them coming.

If there’s a pub or a place you want me to visit next, tell me and I’ll add it to the list.

Thanks 👍️

Thanks for reading The Warrington Scoop today.

If you found this useful, please share it with someone who moans about getting off the Riverside Retail Park on a Saturday.

Catch you on Friday.

Mike
