Something to think about for you today.
We were at the Warrington Business Expo on Friday, and much of the focus was obviously on Warrington, not just on the businesses.
I remember these points being discussed that I thought you might want to hear about
Someone mentioned that they went to Rome the other month, and the airport was 45 minutes outside the city. This is the case with many cities… and if you look at it this way… we essentially have Warrington West Airport (Liverpool) and Warrington East Airport (Manchester). Both are roughly 30 minutes away, depending on which side of town you live, and not many places can say they have this. If you are like me, you will prefer Liverpool Airport as theres never any queues getting through security 🤣
Another person said that if they could redraw the map of the UK, Warrington would be right at the centre. This is due to our amazing travel links. We are 2 hours from London by train, not far from Wales on the M56; the Lake District is just up the M6, and we have the M62 running across the country as well.
We were out in Runcorn on Saturday (I know…. it's not Warrington, haha), but we should all work together, and they have some great things going on. We went down to learn more about their boat cruises that have recently started as part of their Unlock Runcorn project.
🦆 Can you guess where we were in this video? It’s a lake…. right in the town centre.
🤔 Where were we in this video? It’s somewhere people can potter around for hours.
House of the Week 🏠️

This one on Rydal Avenue (close to Stockton Heath) is £365,000, and I think you’d like it. It’s a four-bed semi with a big, extended kitchen/diner, loads of space at 1,225 sq ft, plus a garage and parking for three cars. It’s freehold, tucked in a quiet cul-de-sac near Stockton Heath, with a decent garden too.
Thanks 👍️
Thanks for reading The Warrington Scoop today.
If you found this useful, please share it with someone who complains about the traffic but never actually leaves town.
Catch you on Friday.
Mike
