🎾 New Padel Courts Are Coming to Warrington

We had a chat this week with Miguel, the owner behind two brand new padel courts opening at T1 Golf Sports Village in Warrington—and he’s really happy to bring the fast-growing sport to town.
If you’ve never played padel before, it’s a mix of tennis and squash, played in doubles on a smaller enclosed court. Fast-paced, easy to pick up, and very addictive.
“We chose T1 Golf Sports Village because it’s a great location, and there aren’t any other padel courts nearby,” Miguel told us. “It’s such a fun, social sport—once people try it, they’ll be hooked.”
Padel is booming in the UK, with around 150,000 regular players. Miguel thinks Warrington is the ideal place to grow it, thanks to its mix of families, young professionals, and sports fans.
“For fitness or fun, I promise people will love it,” he added.
The courts officially open on April 3rd and are free to use until the 10th, when you need to book them.

House of the Week - Hill Top Road, Stockton Heath 🏘️
The last house we put in The Scoop had the most clicks of anything we have ever put into the newsletter….. You loved having a nosey at some houses, so here’s a lovely one we picked out for you this week.

Offers Over £475,000
This Edwardian gem in Stockton Heath blends character with comfort—think original stained glass, high ceilings, and fireplaces, all paired with a modern kitchen and garden room.
There are three big bedrooms (yes, king-size fits in all), two reception rooms, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower. Outside, you’ve got a lovely garden, a summer house that doubles as an office, and space to park three cars.
And it’s just a short walk into the heart of Stockton Heath.

📚 Help Save Westbrook Library
There’s a petition going around to stop the closure of Westbrook Library—and it’s picking up steam. Locals have been signing to help keep this community hub open, and if you’ve ever used the library yourself (or just like the idea of kids having easy access to books), this might be one for you.
It’s not just about books—it’s a place where children learn to love reading, where older residents go for a bit of company, and where people of all ages can get support, peace and quiet, or just a break from the noise of everyday life.
If you’d like to add your name, you can sign the petition here:
