Good morning, Warrington. Mike here. This is The Warrington Scoop.
How was your weekend? We went down to Oktoberfest on Saturday, which was great. We spoke to the organisers, who said people had been mentioning the Scoop, which was really nice to hear. Then on Sunday we visited the Makers Market on Time Square, which is always good. This week there are over 40 things on, so have a look and let me know what you end up doing.
Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕
P.S. This email goes out to 16,600 people and growing every week. Thanks for being a part of it.

I’m really pleased to share that I’m now welcoming clients in a new space at EA Fitness in Warrington. My work focuses on helping to release stored tension in the body that can place ongoing strain on the nervous system. When the body is holding this kind of stress, it can contribute to feelings such as anxiety, persistent headaches or migraines, emotional overwhelm, physical discomfort, and long-term stress patterns.
Through gentle, hands-on holistic therapy, we work with the body to encourage release, regulation, and a greater sense of ease.
Check out my Facebook or website.
Book a 20 minute taster session with me. Please read T+C's before booking
September Photo Competition Winner 📸
Thanks to everyone who submitted their September photos from around Warrington…. and apologies for getting this out a bit later than planned, but we are pleased to that the winning photo was taken by Katy. This was judged by my wife and me, just based on the image we thought summed up Autumn/September best.

Mersey Way path, Woolston near the Weir
If you want to view the rest of the submissions, most were on our Facebook page here.

🍂 We pieced together some clips of Warrington taken throughout September and October just to show off how lovely Warrington can be.
😆 Another meme this time mixing up Toy Story and Winwick Road. Enjoy!

Hey, did you get a chance to listen to our latest podcast, the one that came out on Friday? Charles sat down with Tommy North, and I hope you enjoyed it, as the feedback we have had so far has been great.
If you missed it, you can catch up on the Scoop podcast whenever suits you or listen to it here on YouTube.

☕ Shout out to Squirrels Chase Coffee, the new family-run horsebox café that’s just soft launched off Old Lyons Lane in Appleton. They’re open weekend mornings with coffee from Arley Hall and a rotating batch of homemade sweet and savoury treats.

🌳 Next time you’re wandering round Walton Hall and Gardens, spare a thought for the Friends of Walton Estate, the volunteers who roll their sleeves up to keep the place looking its best for years to come. They’re always keen to welcome new faces, so if you fancy a bit of fresh air and good company, look them up on Facebook.
🥷 Gracie Barra Warrington is running a free four-week women’s self-defence course on Sunday mornings at 9am, starting next Sunday 18th October. It’s aimed at complete beginners, covering everything from escaping grabs to situational awareness, and you’re welcome to come solo or bring a mate along.
🍽 Sad news that Vandal in the Treasury Building on Palmyra Square has closed its doors, but the building won’t be quiet for long. Miro Greek is moving in, bringing sharing plates from cold and hot mezze through to lamb chops, kleftiko and moussaka off the grill. They’re also planning a Greek Night on the last Friday of every month.
