🎈 Mini Mania Play Zone - Parties, Play, and Plenty for Little Ones

Sponsored by Mini Mania

Mini Mania is based in the Bridge Shopping Centre in Latchford, designed for families under 5s.

If you're planning a birthday party, they offer private and non-private hire with soft play, sensory rooms, ride-ons, and a giant sandpit.

Even if you’re not booking a party, there is a lot going on during the week, such as baby clubs and themed events, to pop-up play sessions. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space that kids love and grown-ups feel comfortable in.

You can find out more information on their website, Facebook or Instagram.

Great Sankey Summer Fun Day This Sunday 😎

When browsing Facebook, I saw that over 1200 people had marked themselves as interested in attending this fun day, so I thought it was something the Scoop readers should know about. It looks set to be a great day, and the weather looks half decent.

It’s a community fun day organised and funded by Great Sankey Parish Council. Fairground rides, dog show, hot food, stalls, doughnuts, ice cream, live performances, and lots more.

Find out more on their Facebook page.

Fancy a Treasure Hunt? 👁️

When speaking to a friend recently, I asked him about one of the best things he had done in Warrington recently.

He told me about this site called Treasure Trails and how his family bought the Lymm Dam treasure trail. I hadn’t heard of them, but it looks pretty cool, and I thought it was worth sharing.

It could be a good way to keep the kids entertained during the summer holidays.

You can find a link to the Lymm one here.

The Digest 📰

🔌 Warrington’s getting 150 new EV charge points
Warrington Council is switching providers but moving ahead with plans to install 150 on-street electric vehicle chargers across 25 places in town. The aim? Support the shift to electric and make it easier to plug in without a driveway.

🍽️ Free school meals to expand for families on Universal Credit
Up to 7,500 Warrington children could get free school meals by 2026, thanks to a new plan backed by MP Sarah Hall. The policy will give all kids in families receiving Universal Credit a free daily lunch, no more earnings cap, just simple support. Full story here.

🍓 Strawberry season starts early at Kenyon Hall Farm
A warm spring means good news for fruit fans. Kenyon Hall Farm’s popular pick-your-own strawberries are now ready earlier than ever. There are five miles of ripe berries waiting, and Farmer Tod says the quality this year is excellent. Read the full story.
