Lunar New Year Events and Plenty More On This Weekend

Plus Luke Littler Stadium, Dementia Cafe, The Sport and More

Good morning, Warrington. Mike here. This is The Warrington Scoop.

Yesterday was lovely weather, wasn’t it —cold, yes, but with a bit of sunshine, it felt like spring wasn’t too far off. The days are slowly getting longer, and before we know it, we’ll be swapping coats for something lighter (hopefully). Until then, here’s what’s happening around town.

In today's edition:

  • Warrington’s Lunar New Year Celebrations 🇨🇳

  • Things to do in Warrington 🗓️

  • Things happening just OUTSIDE of Warrington 🗓️

  • Dementia Cafe Opening at Life Time ☕️

Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕️

🏉 What travelling Wire fans can expect in Las Vegas with event schedule confirmed (Warrington Guardian)

Weather ⛅️

  • 🌤 Friday – A mix of sun and clouds, with highs of 6°C and lows of 2°C. Chilly, but not too bad for this time of year.

  • ☁️ Saturday – Staying cloudy, 6°C in the day, dropping to 3°C at night. A grey one, but at least it’s dry.

  • 🌥 Sunday – Mostly cloudy with a high of 7°C and a low of 2°C. No rain expected, so a decent day to get out and about.

Sport 🏉

⚽️ Warrington Town travel to Needham Market this Saturday for a crucial battle at the bottom of the National League North. With just four points separating the bottom six, every game counts. Craig Noone could make his debut, and Matty McDonald returns from suspension.

🏉 Warrington Wolves head to Whitehaven this Saturday, 8th February, with kickoff at 3:00 PM. It’s another important test as the team continues preparations for the new season. One to watch.
