Good morning, Warrington. Mike here. This is The Warrington Scoop. The newsletter that tries to look at the good stuff thats going on around town.
Over 14,300 of you open this every week, and I still find that genuinely hard to believe. One in every fifteen people in this town. Morning everyone.
Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕

I’m really pleased to share that I’m now welcoming clients in a new space at EA Fitness in Warrington.
My work focuses on helping to release stored tension in the body that can place ongoing strain on the nervous system. When the body is holding this kind of stress, it can contribute to feelings such as anxiety, persistent headaches or migraines, emotional overwhelm, physical discomfort, and long-term stress patterns.
Through gentle, hands-on holistic therapy, we work with the body to encourage release, regulation, and a greater sense of ease.
New Clients Welcome Offer
First session: £55 (normally £70)
For existing clients
As a thank you for your continued support, you can enjoy £10 off your next session 💛
Referral scheme remains in place
Refer a friend and you’ll still receive £10 off when they book their session.

Here are some positive stories from around the town over the past few days.
🏗️ Woolston company Ultra Decking has been recognised for helping transform gardens for over 1,000 seriously ill children through their partnership with children's charity WellChild. They have donated over 1,500 decking boards to create wheelchair friendly outdoor spaces for families in need. (Warrington Guardian)
📚 Lois Turner, whose mum is from Warrington, published her debut fantasy novel Rogue Blaze last year at just 11 years old. She wrote it in eight months and is already working on the second book in the series due out this autumn. (Warrington Guardian)
🍺 The Howley Pub in Warrington opened its doors to residents from Florence Mill care home this week, treating them to food, tea and cakes. For many it was the first pub visit in years, and one resident was absolutely thrilled to play darts again for the first time in a long time. (Warrington Guardian)

👁️ I came across this on Reddit this week and had to share it. Someone who used to live in Warrington made a stained glass version of the famous pink eye on Bridge Street because they were feeling homesick. It's absolutely brilliant and you can even buy one yourself.
🌸 Lymm Open Gardens is back on Sunday 21st June from 12pm to 5:30pm with 11 beautiful gardens opening up across Lymm. There will be homemade refreshments, plant sales, and plenty to explore, including what looks like an incredible Hobbit House in one of the gardens. All proceeds go to St Rocco's Hospice
⭐ Warrington's Inclusion Starts With Us held their Inclusion Awards Night at the weekend, celebrating people who champion inclusive spaces for those with autism and SEN. It sounds like a brilliant evening with some surprise awards on the night and Mayor Mo Hussain there to celebrate with everyone.
🚲 If you like history around Warrington, then you might like Bimblism on YouTube. I’ve been watching him for years, and in a video last week, he took a look at the history in Sankey and Penketh.
🧁 Mamars on Sankey Street have launched a Sconpetition! Send them your best scone idea, which could be something to add to the mix or a topping, and if they choose yours, you win a batch of four scones plus accompaniments. They are already selling plain, sultana, and cheddar scones from £1.25 each, and the tasting event is on Thursday.
🐢 A brand new collectables shop has just opened in The Hive on Sankey Street. Pink Turtle Collectables buys, sells and trades cards, figures and comics covering Pokemon, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney and Harry Potter. Open every day from 10am to 7pm.
