🎵 The Magic of the Beatles – Shake It Up Baby Tour 🎸

The Magic of the Beatles is coming to the Parr Hall (Saturday 25 Jan 2025, 7:30pm), and it’s packed with all the hits you love – Hey Jude, She Loves You, Help!, and loads more.

With a cast that captures the sound, energy, and humour of John, Paul, George, and Ringo, this show is as close as it gets to the real thing. It’s a trip back to the golden era of pop, and you won’t want to miss it.

In just two weeks, CODYS returns with its exciting new show, MUSICALITY: CODYS CHOICE.

This production combines a stunning selection of songs from beloved musicals like Wicked, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Rent, Matilda, and more – all performed by CODYS’ incredibly talented cast. 🙌🏻

Thursday

☕️ St Oswalds Church Coffee Morning - St Oswalds Church, 10am | Everyone is welcome, especially those who are feeling lonely. Come along and meet other people, have a chat.

🎨 Art Therapy (Activity Angels) - Golden Square, 1:30pm | Join the Art Therapy Social Group at Golden Square Mall’s Secret Classroom! Bring your own materials, enjoy refreshments, and get creative in a relaxed setting.

Good news for Wordle fans: we are back with a new Wordle. Well, it’s actually reusing one of the very first Wordles when we had only a handful of subscribers. This one is VERY hard. Let me know how you get on by replying to the email.

Weather ⛅️ 

It’s a wet and chilly week ahead, with a mix of rain and even some snow. Here’s how it’s shaping up:

  • Monday: 2°C to 3°C 🌧️❄️ – Rain with some snow possible.

  • Tuesday: 1°C to 4°C 🌧️ – Rain showers throughout the day.

  • Wednesday: 1°C to 3°C 🌧️❄️ – Another mix of rain and snow.

  • Thursday: 1°C to 4°C 🌧️ – Rain showers continuing.

  • Friday: 3°C to 8°C 🌧️ – Warmer but still wet with steady rain.

Sport 🏉 

⚽️ Warrington Town suffered a 2-0 defeat away to league leaders Kidderminster Harriers on their first visit to Aggborough. Two second-half goals and a late red card for Matty McDonald added to the Yellows' frustrations. Next up: Stockport County on Tuesday.

🏉 Warrington Wolves started their 2025 pre-season with a 36-22 defeat to local rivals Widnes Vikings at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. Despite tries from debutants Alfie Johnson and Dan Russell, as well as Jake Thewlis, the Vikings rallied in the second half to secure the win.
