Plus: Sound Bath, Cycle Rides, Painting in the Pub
Good morning, Warrington. Mike here. This is The Warrington Scoop.
I logged into the newsletter on Friday afternoon and spotted it: 6,000 Scoop subscribers. I had to double-check it. Six thousand. That’s like filling six full Parr Halls with people who care about new openings, what’s on, and cracking the Warrington Wordle.
When I first started this, I wasn’t sure if anyone would read it. But then the replies started coming in. People sent stories, local tips, and old memories. Some even corrected my spelling 🤣. I’ve loved every bit of it.
So thank you for reading, sharing, and sticking with it.
Let’s see how long it takes to reach 7,000.
In today's edition:
Warrington Food and Drink Festival 🍔
A New Irish Bar is Opening 🍺
What’s On This Week 🗓️
Grab your favourite brew, and let's start. ☕️

Warrington Food and Drink Festival 🍔

Warrington’s Food & Drink Festival is almost here! It’s taking over Bank Park next Saturday 17th May (10am–7pm) and Sunday 18th May (11am–5pm) — and entry is completely free.
You can expect bars, street food stalls, live performances, demo classes, artisan stalls, and some of the best food and drink Warrington has to offer.
The full lineup is still being finalised, but it’s already shaping up to be a cracking weekend for the whole family.
Check out their website for more info.

New Irish Bar in Town 🇮🇪 🍺

There’s a new Irish bar coming to town. The Dubliner is getting ready to open its doors on the old Flanagan’s spot. Expect a warm welcome, a few pints of the black stuff, and a fresh new look. They’re counting down the days.
