New Parking Charges Proposed for Stockton Heath and Lymm 🚘️

This caused some debate on Facebook (over 150 comments) this week (and rightly so)…. not everyone might have seen it, which is why I am including it.

A quote from the council's Facebook page said, “We're proposing new charges at our car parks in Stockton Heath and Lymm, which would see the removal of ‘free parking’ periods. We'll be consulting on these proposals, which are part of our budget setting process, in the near future

The proposals for these car parks are:

Lymm – the removal of the ‘first hour free’ parking, with the introduction of a fee of 70p for parking for up to 1 hour Stockton Heath – the removal of ‘free after 3pm’ parking, with standard parking charges being introduced up until 5pm The introduction of a new evening rate in Stockton Heath, Monday to Saturday, (5pm - 10pm):

  • 0-1 hour: Free - No return within 2 hours

  • Over 1 hour: £1.40 - All day return permitted

£2.50 Guinness is Back 🍺

Bold Street House posted recently to say that their £2.50 Guinness is back on. We are not sure how long this will last, but get yourself down there and make the most of it.

Will The Council Ever Fix This Fountain? 🤔

We try to keep things positive here at The Warrington Scoop. However, I have noticed that for at least 5 months (probably more), this fountain has been fenced off and not working. Does anyone know why it’s been broken for so long? Will it ever be fixed?
