🌈 Warrington Pride lands in Golden Square this Saturday

We Are Warrington, who do great work bringing people together across the town, are leading this year’s Pride celebrations with a full day of free events at Golden Square. They’ve teamed up with Warrington Youth Zone, TAGS, United Utilities and other local partners to make it happen.

🌈 Pride Parade (12.00pm – 12.30pm)
🎶 Big Fatt Dance Party (12.30pm – 1.00pm)
💃 Showcase from TAGS & Warrington Youth Zone (1.00pm – 4.30pm)
🎧 Silent Disco (1.00pm – 5.00pm)
🎵 Drew’s Dirty Disco (5.00pm – 7.00pm)
🎳 After Party at Discobowl Warrington (7.00pm til late)

There’ll be workshops, stalls and special offers across the centre. More info here.

Here are some positive stories from around the town over the past few days.

🏃‍♂️ Warrington 10K returns next week
The popular 10K at Woolston Park is back on Wednesday 18th June, and there’s still time to sign up if you fancy taking part. A chance to lace up your trainers, hit the park, and join hundreds of local runners.

🚦 Warrington lands £33m transport boost
The council’s secured over £33 million in funding for local transport upgrades between 2026 and 2030. Plans include improvements to roads, cycling and walking routes, the Bank Quay station area, and the town’s bus interchange. The cash could also fund new studies into future transport needs.

🍻 Latchford Brewery scoops three major awards 
4T’s Brewery, which started in a garage back in 2010, has bagged three top prizes from CAMRA. The brewery was recognised for its services to brewing, its strong English stout (now heading to the Champion Beer of Britain finals), and founder John Wilkinson picked up a special award for his work in the industry.

Live Music Lowdown 🎸 

I need your help. Guys, I really want to make this music section bigger and better. The problem is that people sometimes don’t post their music until Friday, and I write this on a Thursday. Or some venues don’t post their live music. I know there’s got to be loads more out there. If you know a venue that has live music, please reply and let me know, and I can hopefully get it added.
